Denise and John Jakobi

Frank and Virginia, Laura, JoAnn, Mike, David and families: so sorry to hear you lost your Grandma Lillian. While it was a good long life of 103 years, it still breaks the heart. Know she´s probably sharing greenhouse space with my folks and others and enjoying herself immensely With deepest sympathies; think of you all often. Denise and John Jakobi

JoAnn and family: I remember your Grandma Lil and am sad to hear of her passing. I am sure she is already sowing seed and designing beautiful gardens in Heaven this spring with my parents (from the Flower Fair). Someone once said, " A gardener is the spirit of the garden, the organizing force, the heart and soul of it all." I would have to agree. Sincerest sympathies from Denise (Bialk) and John Jakobi family

I too have a passion for plants. I can't wait for the snow to melt and the earth to warm! I'll be building a greenhouse this spring because your Mum has inspired me. I would have enjoyed meeting her. Treasure the memory of her when you see the seedlings sprout and flowers bloom!

I did not know Mrs. Slomski, have never met her, but what an honor it would have been! I read the lovely article in the Milwaukee Journal and thoroughly enjoyed read about her life. The world needs more people like "Lil" who are devoted to their families, are hard working and who take the time to enjoy the beauty around them. This spring, I will plant a beautiful flower in my garden and dedicate it to her and her wonderful spirit. May you rest in peace, dear woman. My condolences to the family.

Elizabeth sounds like a wonderful kind and caring person with a green thumb. Its hard to say goodbye to loved ones such as these. She lived a full life, but the Bible gives us hope for such loved ones in the future. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Nancy,

I read the beautiful article about your mother. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my father two years ago. I have found that while grief can be so hard, our special memories help us cope. The Journal article certainly helped capture some.
