Ella M. Traylor, 61, Kansas City, Kansas passed away January 5, 2018. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, with a funeral service at 11 AM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Bible Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 2804 Hiawatha St., Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Ella M. Jones-Traylor was the 4th child born to Odessa Wilson on December 29, 1956.
Ella was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, caregiver and friend. She attended Eudora High School in Arkansas. After graduating she traveled to Kansas City and relocated. She was a member of Bible Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. B.J. Rodgers and Rev. Bobby Young. She was active on the church Hospitality Committee, visited the sick and continually supported her church. Ella met and married Daryl Traylor in 1987. They had been married for 31 years. Ella retired from Home Care Services in 2014.
She was blessed with a son, Antonio, whom she cherished. She enjoyed babysitting, helping others, and loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Odessa Wilson; son, Antonio Jones; sisters, Vera Berman and Mary Wilson; brothers, Sylvester Wilson and Louis Wilson. Ella leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Daryl Traylor; sisters and brothers: Mary J. Jones, Curtis Jones, Jerry Jones, JoAnne Payton, Sylvia Wilson, Jessie L. Jones and Velma Burton; mother-in-law, Jean Hill; a host of nieces and nephews that were near and dear to her heart; cousins, other relatives and friends.
