Ella "Tot" Sauce Ashley
June 6, 1928 – June 17, 2012
Ella "Tot" Sauce Ashley, 84, a native of Napoleonville and a resident of Berwick passed away, Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Chabert Medical Center in Houma.
Tot enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and friends. She was known for making the best bread pudding. She also enjoyed crafts like sewing and painting. Her family remembers how much Tot enjoyed dancing, especially doing the two step to Cajun music. Young and the Restless was a show her family knew all about, thanks to Tot.
Tot is survived by her son, Melvin Ashley of Olla; her daughter, Regina Hamilton of Bayou L'Ourse; her daughter-in-law, Geraldine Crochet Ashley of Olla; her son-in-law, Kenneth Hamilton of Bayou L'Ourse; one brother, Wilson Sauce; two sisters, Leona Rulf and Mary Lee Gaudet; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Persilver Ashley; her father, Joseph Sauce; her mother, Mary "Venna" Couvillier Sauce; three brothers, Elton, Milton, and Wilton Sauce; three sisters, Elda Mayon, Hilda Ackman, and Eldora Sauce.
The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 8am until time of services at 12noon at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Graveside services will follow in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Centerville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to alleviate hospital and funeral expenses.

My sweet little aunt, I love you so much! I am going to miss our phone calls and talks. I remember when I went to your apt and saw you had no Christmas in your living room. I went out and bought you a tree made of Christmas Balls,,you loved it, the next Christmas I bought you a talking Santa and you had your tree and Santa..Last Christmas I bought you a beautiful pointsetta I remember when I walked in with it you said look how big it is...lol You will be missed!!!
