Ella Lee epitomized living life according to John 10:10, abundantly. She reflected the fullness of God's goodness in her love of beauty, family, flowers, antiques, food and elegant living. I often thought she was the living embodiment of a “Victoria” magazine. More, though, Ella Lee lived life abundantly in her generosity in all things. She was joyous in her giving and her care for others. She had a soft, sweet, Southern voice, and never had a harsh word for or about anyone. She always had a sparkle of fun and excitement threading through all she shared. She truly was blessed in being “young at heart.” I will remember her hospitality, her graciousness, her deep faith and beautiful prayers. I will try, like Ella Lee, to live life big…even though I, unlike Ella Lee, don't have the hair to match her big life. I was blessed to know her. Texas will be a bit emptier now without her, and heaven's heart is enlarged because she is there.

I knew Ella Lee Hart through my very good friend, Amy Hawkins. Mrs. Hart was the true definition of a steel magnolia. Though I didn't know her nearly long enough I know that she will be greatly missed.
