I thank God for Aunt Ella's life! She loved God and the gospel and God used her greatly in Ecuador. She was a joy to be around with a witty sense of humor and generous love towards my family. I have peace knowing she is home with her Saviour and Lord. I miss you, Aunt Ella.

I have special memories of special times shared with Ella Rae in Ecuador from 1978-81. Those memories include riding every Sunday in her yellow Blazer to the Mera church to worship with the Villacis family and many others. She shared with me her wealth of experience from years of working as a missionary in Ecuador. I will never forget the big Bible that she displayed in the window of her home at Christmas and all the people that would stop to read whatever page she had turned it to that day. Her Christmas tradition of making and giving away plates of decorated cookies at Christmas is a fond memory. She was also good at making a scrumptious chocolate cake roll! She loved to prepare Bible studies and Bible lessons to share with the ladies and people of the church. We enjoyed putting together a little yellow book of Spanish choruses for the Mera Church. We had fun taking some day trips further into the jungle area. I felt honored to take care of her rented home for the year that she went home to take care of her ailing mom. No matter where we went or what the occasion, she always looked her very best, with every hair in place! After returning to the US, she always talked about wanting to write a book about her experiences in Ecuador. That was one dream that never happened this side of heaven. I rejoice in the fact that she has joined her two sisters and parents in her heavenly home and is rejoicing in the very Presence of Jesus, her Lord and Savior! I love you, Ella Rae!
