I met Elliot in 1990 while stationed at Hickam AFB. I heard about an old 68 Charger and found it by luck, at Elliots. I really liked Elliot from the start and He finally sold it to me after a year or so. I loved the car like he did. I still have it. My family and I visited Hawaii in Feb and tried to find my old friend. That's when I learned of his passing. Everytime I drive the Charger, I think of him. He was a special person. Prayers to his family. Aloha. Ray Nelson

I knew the Mattos family since I was 5 years old (1963) growing up across the street from their home. They were my second family for 15 years. Mr. Mattos will be missed very much.

Mr. Mattos, Was such a good Daddy and Husband I grew up with this wonderful family, friend of Kawailani. This picture of Mr. Mattos brings back nothing but good memories for me as a child I remember Him pulling up on his motor cycle looking all cool and so very proud to be a Police Officer. Much love to the family. Heaven just got a special Angel. Love you Uncle Dad.... Pam
