Elmer Lee Beam, age 81, of Marble Falls, passed away October 8, 2012. He was born March 1, 1931 in Claremont, Texas to Clyde and Emma (Tatum) Beam. He married Lillian Faye Glasgow on April 20, 1996.

He is survived by his wife Faye, son Roger Beam and wife Betty Murray; daughters Freda Herrera and husband Leonard, Ann Ward and husband Jimmy, Ruth Zwicker and husband Calvin , Judy Jowers and husband Dennis, and Tammy Carpenter and husband Jack; step-daughters Jolean Barnet and husband Russel and Gailyn Palmer. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Womack and Reverend Bob Weis officiating. Interment will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roger Fry, Hank Fry, Jimmy Ward, Cody Beam, Spencer Jowers, and Sterlin Zwicker.

Elmer came to Marble Falls in 1961 and worked as a farmer and at Texas Granite for 27 years as an explosive expert. He loved to hunt and fish.

Elmer was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Marble Falls.
