Elmira “Ann” Sanders joined her beloved husband, Bill, when she passed away peacefully on October 14, 2016, in Columbia, MO.
During her full life she was model, artist, traveler, and avid golfer. She was involved with the communication center in WWII.
On May 10, 1923, she was born to Elvira and Armin Piesbergen. Ann lived her younger life in Belleville, IL, where she met and married Bill Sanders on June 17, 1942. They had lived in Illinois, New York, New Mexico, and Colorado landing in Joplin, MO, where they were members of both Briarbrook and Twin Hills Golf Country Clubs.
Ann and Bill loved two sons and their families: Scott (deceased) with his wife, Donna, of Ballwin, MO; and Rex with his wife, Pat, of Columbia, MO. They dearly enjoyed four grandchildren and their families: Kristy Hassett and her husband, Mike, of Detroit, MI; Kyle Sanders and his wife, LeAnne, of St. Peters, MO; Kannon Sanders, and his wife, Jessie, of Florissant, MO; and Kelin Sanders (deceased). They were also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Scott, Kelley, Thomas, Lucas, and Kooper.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
