I think of Eloy now and then and remember him fondly. He was one of the most straight up decent guys I have ever known. He was a total family man and much to be admired for his love and concern for them. RIP, Eloy.

Claudine and Family - Please accept our sincere sympathy. Eloy was a very special person. Even in high school, he was loved by his classmates. Even though I did not get to see him very often after high school, he continued to be in my thoughts. Our prayers will continue to be with all of you. He was definitely a warrior and fought his battle until the end. Love to all - Bill and Norma Goetz, Shiner, Tx.

Over the past 40+ years I frequently heard my brother and sister-in-law speak of their dear friends Eloy and Claudine. On a couple of my visits to Houston I was fortunate to meet them and it was easy to see why my family cherished their friendship. Eloy will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to Claudine.

Claudine,
Both you and Eloy have touched our lives with prayer and loving and kind words during our struggle with cancer. My mother-in-law passed on the beautiful hand made cross and would always tell us that y'all would ask how we were doing every time you spoke. Even though we live miles apart, we were deeply touched by Eloy's genuine compassion and thoughtfulness even though he was fighting his own battle. May God continue to bless you and walk hand in hand with you during this difficult time.

I just learned of Eloy's passing and was distressed to learn about it. I know he fought a hard battle these last years and I am glad that part is over. I worked with Eloy for several years and had great respect for him. We had many conversations and we had some laughs together where we worked. He was not a very good joke teller but he was one of the most sincere and honest men I have ever known or worked with.
I offer Claudia and all your family my sincere condolences. Dick Urban

Eloy and Claudine were our great neighbors for years and friends for decades. We are blessed by their friendship and knowing their family and friends. Eloy and I spent some wonderful time together, sharing that saltwater experience (he always out-fished me) as well as quality time in our own front yards. He was a strong fighter and an inspiration in his battle with health problems. Had he been a boxer or MMA fighter, his heart and perseverance would have been of World Champion Class. Thank you, Eloy, and your family, for being part of our lives.
