Elsie K. 'Elsa' Law, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at her home. She was 75.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Byrd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Resource Center, PO Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mrs. Law was born in Hinsdale, Illinois to Einar and Kristina Carlson and grew up in Florence, Wisconsin. She later moved to Dothan and was employed with Dothan City Schools as the lunchroom manager for almost 20 years prior to her retirement. Following her retirement she volunteered with the Alzheimer's Resource Center for many years. She also volunteered with the Dothan Runners Club. Mrs. Law was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles J. 'Chuck' Law of Dothan; her daughter, Sharon Cook of Dothan; six step-children, Dixie Lee Pease, Charles Thomas Law, Lynnia Thomas, Patti Bond, Sean Law and Jada Scroggins; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Carlson of Merrill, WI.
