Elsie Wegner Adams, 84, of Homerville, GA, formerly of Brunswick, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Clinch Healthcare in Homerville. A private memorial service will be held October 15, 2011 on Jekyll Island.
Born February 8, 1927 in Fort Worden, Washington State, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Eleanor H. Wegner. Ms. Adams was a homemaker, had many artistic abilities, and was a talented cook. She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord Jesus and taught her children to love Him as well. Elsie loved spending time with all of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine of her siblings. Her father was career military In the Army so Elsie lived in various places including Fort Wordon, WA; Fort Randolph, Panama Canal Zone; Presidio, San Francisco and Fort Douglas, UT.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Adams and wife Rose of Tallahassee, FL, and Everett Adams and wife Peggy of Hortense, GA, two daughters, Margie Adams of Thomaston, GA, and Patty Taylor and husband Bill of Conway, SC, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, a sister, Edie Bushnell and husband Ken of Olalla, WA, and a brother, Dave Wegner and wife Betty of Meridian, ID.
