Obituary

Elsie Baillie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and passed away on March 15, 2013. Elise was born in Manchester, England, on April 25, 1917. At the age of six years old, after the death of her father, her mom and sister left England and settled in Lawrence, Mass. She married William W. Baillie in 1941, and became a USA citizen in 1951. Elsie and Bill moved to Oxnard in 1977 and settled in Oxnard Pacific Park, where she was very active and held the office of president for their social committee. Elsie Baillie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and passed away on March 15, 2013. Elise was born in Manchester, England, on April 25, 1917. At the age of six years old, after the death of her father, her mom and sister left England and settled in Lawrence, Mass. She married William W. Baillie in 1941, and became a USA citizen in 1951.

Elsie and Bill moved to Oxnard in 1977 and settled in Oxnard Pacific Park, where she was very active and held the office of president for their social committee. She was a landmark in the park; and was loved so much by everyone. Elsie was also very active in the Catholic Church and devoted many hours of loving service to St. Vincent de Paul.

Elsie is survived by her son, John Baillie; daughter-in-law, Ginny; she had three grandchildren, David, Patty and Jack Baillie; and four great-grandchildren, Emily and Jonathan Goldstein, Davis and Jacob Baillie.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Elsie's life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Oxnard. Elsie will be laid to rest at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard, immediately following.

Arrangements are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Conrad Carroll, 401 W. Channel Isl. Blvd., Oxnard, 487-4911.
