To my other mother... Madre... Elsie,
I can't even describe the feelings right now, having to get these thoughts on here is very difficult. You had such an amazing impact on my life, you truly were one of the best, loving, caring, giving, genuine people I know!! I could never be in the house and not be asked all the time if we were hungry or thirsty and telling us we need to eat... You made sure everyone was always OK!! The camping trips when us kiddos were younger, pool parties, Karie and I in dance classes, Vegas trips when we could finally drink (in public) and gamble with you and dad in Vegas. One day you just kept randomly walking by and putting nickels in machines and winning right away! But, I wouldn't expect anything different!! We were all so lucky to have you in our lives!! You will be missed greatly!! Love you mom!!

For my dear Elsie,
Elsie was our 1st Daughter-in-law, but very soon became our Daughter and a big part of our family. She was always there to help everyone. We had a lot of fun together. We were always doing something and soon began planning for our 1st grand baby. She was our best friend and we loved her dearly! I am grateful she won't hurt anymore! I will miss her and never forget her.
Love you Honey,
Mom and Dad C.

Grandma,
I loved grandma because she was a very nice person and spoiled me everyday throughout her life. I will miss her because I will never see her again but she will always be in my heart. My favorite things to do with grandma were going to the zoo, being at Disneyland, and playing on the computer. LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU GRANDMA!

Dear Mike and the kids,
I never remembered my wedding day, and never fogot yours.
Unlike many of us, you guys held the course; and Mike, I am so sorry Elsie's gone.
No mother was ever more proud of two kids than Elsie was of hers.
I knew Elsie as a legal secretary to two attorneys, and of course, as the ultimate soccer, Mother Hen.
Elsie mastered every task, and left too soon.
Bless you all.

Mike, so sorry for your loss. Michelle, the kids and I will be praying for healing for you, John, Karie, and their families.
My favorite memory of Elsie was when she went to see John off for a deployment. I was standing nearby as John introduced her to our commanding officer. He said to John, "I'm so glad your mom could come out for this." And me, refusing to let the moment pass by unceremoniously, said, "yeah John I'm glad your mom came too." Elsie maintained her composure and pinched the back of my arm, even as everyone else laughed out loud. Best UR MOM experience ever, thanks to Elsie. We all loved her, we're all going to miss her.

Karie-- I only met your mother once when Pam and I visited Ben and family and felt her warmth at that time and know that she had to have been a fantastic mother because of the daughter she raised. The values that you have instilled on Bryson and the Duffey Children will be a part of her legacy. Sending prayers for your continued strength in the days ahead and also sending our love to you and Bryson.

I first met Mike and Elsie in the mid 70's when I hired Mike as a brand new real estate agent. Over time we developed a close friendship and when Mike and I were bad we could always count on Elsie to be there regardless of the time. Her sainthood should be etched in stone. When Deb and I were married and began the required camping trips to the Rim; the Campbells were always an enjoyable part of that trip. John and Karie were still at that age where all the little ones could play all day and into the evening and we could continually make fun of Mike and his Weber grill. Loved you all then and still do. Miss that complete smile on Elsie's angelic face.

Dear Mike and family
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of my Minnesota buddy Elsie. I had the honor to work with her when I was a consultant at Homeowners Financial Group. She was one of the first employees and was very dedicated to her work and friends at Homeowners. She always went beyond the call of duty to help me. She always greeted me with a hug and we never missed the chance to talk about our common Minnesota heritage. I will miss her deeply. My prayers are with you.
