Elsie Marie Genzer, 88, was born on May 12, 1923 in Weimar, Texas to Ferdinand Billeck, Jr. and Bertha Schindler Billeck. She passed away on April 9, 2012. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer and was loved by all. She is survived by her sons: Kenneth Genzer and his wife Kathy, Gary Genzer and his wife Patti, Calvin Genzer and his wife Sandi and Dale Genzer and his wife Candy; eight grandchildren: Heather, Kelly, Corby, Candy, Garrett, Caitlan, Trevor and Nicole; eight great grandchildren: Nicholas, Natalie, Payton, Madeleine, Heidi, Chase,Clayton and Gianna; and her brother, Edwin Billeck. She is survived by her sons: Kenneth Genzer and his wife Kathy, Gary Genzer and his wife Patti, Calvin Genzer and his wife Sandi and Dale Genzer and his wife Candy; eight grandchildren: Heather, Kelly, Corby, Candy, Garrett, Caitlan, Trevor and Nicole; eight great grandchildren: Nicholas, Natalie, Payton, Madeleine, Heidi, Chase,Clayton and Gianna; and her brother, Edwin Billeck. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred Emil Genzer and her sister, Florence Luycx.
The family wishes to thank her doctor, Anna Belcheva and her staff as well as her caretaker, Connie Duque for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10:00am at The Chapel of the Oaks at Memorial Oaks Cemetery,13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079 with interment following.
