Elvira Aly, beloved wife, mother, and favorite cousin went to be with our Lord on April 14, 2013. Elvira was born in McCamey, Texas on 0ctober 16, 1949 to Albino and Juana Carrasco. She was dearly loved her family and her many cousins and spent much time organizing reunions. She also loved her tennis buddies and could be found on the court just about every weekend.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Aly of Odessa, son, Michael Aly and his wife Nereida of Dallas, sister, Elida Sarabia and her husband Pete of Crane, nephew, Adam Sarabia and niece Stephanie Brents and husband Beau of Crane. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Albino and Juana Carrasco of McCamey.
The family extends it heartfelt thanks to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Phoenix, Arizona for their love and dedication during Elvira's treatment, to her coworkers at CVA Advertising for their love and support, and the Hospice House for their care and understanding.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm, with a Rosary at 7pm on Thursday evening at Frank Wilson Funeral Home in Odessa. Funeral mass will be at 2:00pm Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating.

I was recently shocked and greatly saddened to learn about Elvira. I consider myself, one of the many fortunate ones, to have known her for so many years. She was like a sister to me. We shared and experienced so much in life together. I have lost a very special friend, who will be missed very much, but who will remain in my heart forever, because of the wonderful memories we made together. Deep in my heart, I know that eventually God will call upon us, one by one, and someday we will meet again, my friend.
My heartfelt sympathy, love and prayers to all the members of her family.

My dearest friend, I will truly miss you. Even tho we hardly saw each other after we graduated, I thought of you often. I enjoyed our high school days. We had so much fun riding around the only busy street in McCamey. At least we had something to do, huh? Rest in peace, my friend. Love you.

May God bless and watch over her family and friends. Elvira was one classy lady and she will be missed by everyone. I went to school with Elvira and had the pleasure of visiting with her at the reunion in October in San Angelo. I don't ever remember seeing her without a smile on her face. She always had a kind word to say about everyone. Until we meet again at the reunion in heaven dear friend I will remember you as you always were.

My dear sweet "Coya", not only were you are favorite cousin but you were the "matriarch" of the cousins. I will miss your sweet smile, your sense of humor, your courage, your words of comfort and most of all my dance partner. I hear "que en el cielo siempre se baila" and when the time comes that we're reunited "nos echamos un taconaso!" You always organized the best family reunions and that is why I'm so happy that you are now at the "best" family reunion unlike any other. Rest In Peace until we meet again.
