Emelda B. Lightsey, 68, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, in Shreveport.
Emelda was a jokester, she always had everyone around her laughing
Emelda is survived by two sons, Ronnie Lightsey, Jr. and his fiance Brandy Vincent of Shreveport, and Waylon Lightsey and his wife Jennifer of Prairieville, LA; five grandchildren Joey Lightsey and Haley Lightsey of Shreveport, Chloe, Kalia, and Raylan Lightsey of Prairieville; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Emelda is preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Lightsey, Sr.; her two sons Louis Lightsey, and Leroy Lightsey; her parents Louis and Amelie Broussard; one granddaughter, baby Alyssa Lightsey; and one brother Lloyd Broussard, Sr
Emelda will be laid to rest in Ibert's Memorial Park, in Patterson, next to her husband and son.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5pm - 9pm and Monday, January 9, 2017 from 8am - 10am at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10am at Hargrave Funeral Home.
