Emma was dedicated to raising her sons through difficult times, providing the best she could for her family.
Cooking, baking and preserving were her passion.
Her love of gardening kept her healthy, while giving her the joy of sharing her produce with family, neighbours and friends.

Emma was a loyal member of the Roman Catholic Church and recently honoured as a twenty-eight year member of the Catholic Women's League of Canada.

Emma shared her time generously with those in need, skilfully handcrafting in access of three thousand colourful little vests, bringing worldwide warmth and comfort to orphans, through an organization known as Canadian Food for Children.

Her heart, also went out to troubled young mothers, spending time weekly at the Pro Life Thrift Shop over a period of 30 years.

Emma reluctantly gave up her home at the age of 91 and moved on to a more relaxing way of life at the Village at Mill Creek, where she enjoyed the security and companionship of others with similar interests.

The family would like to express gratitude and admiration to the staff for their respectful and compassionate care of Emma, both at the Village at Mill Creek and at the Central Okanagan Hospice House.

A special debt of gratitude is owed to Dr G Mackle for his tender care and understanding, through many years of medical council.

Finally, thank you to both Betty and Penny, friends who, through good times and hardships, gave their overwhelming support to their dear friend, Emma.

Prayers will be recited at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 28 at the Immaculate Conception Church at 839 Sutherland Avenue in Kelowna.
