Emidio Belfiglio Funeral Service Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Notre Dame Catholic Church Emidio Belfiglio passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 7, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB following a battle with congestive heart failure. He leaves behind his wife Teresa, daughter Rossana Tillberg and son-in-law Kevin Tillberg of Winnipeg,granddaughter Malina Tillberg and grandson Errick Tillberg, son Joseph Belfiglio of Kenora, and son Claudio Belfiglio of WInnipeg. Emidio Belfiglio passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 7, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB following a battle with congestive heart failure.

He leaves behind his wife Teresa, daughter Rossana Tillberg and son-in-law Kevin Tillberg of Winnipeg,granddaughter Malina Tillberg and grandson Errick Tillberg, son Joseph Belfiglio of Kenora, and son Claudio Belfiglio of WInnipeg.

Emidio also leaves his sister Rosina LeDonne, another sister Adelia Belfiglio in Italy, his brother Rafael Belfiglio, and many nieces and nephews.

Emidio was born October 8, 1933 in Quadri, Italy, son of Carmina and Giuseppé Belfiglio. Following two years service in the military, he married Teresa Di Martino and moved to Canada in 1957.

They made their home in Kenora, ON and raised their three children, while Emidio worked for the CPR until his retirement in 1993.

He enjoyed his music, making wine and tending his garden.

Over the years, he returned to his home in Italy on several occasions to visit friends and family and loved to spend holidays with his family, children and grandchildren. He was a kind and loving father, a faithful and devoted husband, and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the Cardiac Care Unit and Dr. Farruk Hussain and his team in the Intensive Care Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the comfort and care of both the patients and their families.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Portage Roman Catholic Church.
