Passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2011. A longtime resident of Upland, Emma was a transplanted Chicagoan who loved the warm California sun and the vista of snow-capped Mt. Baldy on clear winter days. Loving wife of the late Mario P. Arcieri for 60 years. Beloved mother of Joan Trezek, Danville, CA, and Richard Arcieri, Lisle, Il, and mother-in-law to George Trezek and Sharon Arcieri, and dear sister of Anthony Scrugli (deceased), formerly of Palm Desert, CA. Proud grandmother of Wendy Trezek Maltoni (Tim), Keith Trezek, Cindy George (Michael) all of California and Jamie Myers (Linton) and Mia Arcieri Piorkowski (Andrew), of suburban Chicago, Il. Emma was blessed with eight grandchildren: four George great grandchildren include Jackson, Maddy, Nick, and Andrew. Four Myers great-grandchildren include Carter, Emma, Evelyn, and Charlotte.
Emma was an active parishioner of St. Anthony's Church, Upland, and a member of the Upland Women's Club and the Sons of Columbus for many years. These organizations benefited from her culinary skills.
Emma loved holidays and all the preparation involved, but most especially bringing people together to enjoy her delicious food. An avid bridge player, she held her end of the game.
