Emma was born May 29, 2005 in Homewood, Alabama and passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012. She was the daughter of David Timothy Longstreet and Karen Jean Brown Longstreet of Lexington, SC. Emma was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she participated in music programs, mission friends and attended Sunday school. She attended Midway Elementary School. She was a member of Upward Cheerleading, Upward Soccer, Palmetto Athletic Center Gymnastics (PAC) and the French Immersion Program. She enjoyed swimming, drawing, coloring, Littlest Pet Shop, Barbies and playing with her three older brothers.
Emma is survived by her parents of Lexington, SC; brothers, Noah, Levi and Micah all of Lexington; great grandmother, Katherine Pell Case of Apex, NC; grandparents, Rev. Dave and Cheryl Westerfield of Fuquay Varina, NC and Joseph Longstreet of Panama City, FL; aunts and uncles, Rhonda Longstreet Stewart (Bill), Ramona Longstreet Eubanks (Yancy), Renee' Longstreet Nelson (Brian), Cathy Brown Webb (Ernie) and Craig Brown (Terri); cousins, Casey Crawford (Kyle), Will and Alex Stewart, Kyle, Austin and Cameron Eubanks, Faith and Ty Nelson, Jacob Webb (Jessica), Daniel Webb (Jessica) and Craig Alan Brown. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert Conway Brown and Shirley Ann Sims Brown formerly of Biloxi, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emma Longstreet Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank or make checks payable to Emma Longstreet Memorial Fund and mailed to Northside Baptist Church, 1303 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169.
There will be a closed casket at the visitation and the funeral and it will be a child-friendly service.
