Emmer Aileen Isley Carter, 87, of Julian, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell County.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Ester Farmer and Erney Monroe Isley; husband, Charlie McElroy Carter, Sr., and two sons.
Aileen is survived by her daughters, Shirley Lee Carter Coble (Kenneth) and Cathy Darlene Abernathy (Terry). She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell County, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
