A native and resident of Iberia parish, Mrs. Baudoin passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Lafayette General Hospital. She was loved and known by many as "Aunt Soon". Enes lived her 93 years to the fullest and touched so many lives along the way. Spending time with family and friends, playing cards, eating out, going to the casino and attending family reunions were some of her favorite things to do. She was blessed with the adventure to go "rodaz," never missing the opportunity to catch a ride to go somewhere (Walmart being one of her favorite outings.) She leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Curtis "Joe" Boudoin and wife Patsy of New Iberia, and Ronald "Duck" Boudoin and wife Inez "Momma Lou" of Delcambre; eight grandchildren, David Keith "Spike", Derek, Dino, Danny, Ty and Tait Boudoin, Donna Hebert and Penny Clay; 14 great grandchildren, Brody, Brylee, Amber, Hollie, Kimberly, Joshua, Shawn, Hilary, Karey, Shelby, Sydni, Cole, Catherine, Cheyanne, Taylor and Laila; and two great great grandchildren, Madison and Jacob. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including her godchild, Junius "T-June" Delahoussaye, and her beloved caregivers, Brenda LeBlanc, Sheila Lauw and Libby Sanford.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lovelace "Charlie" Boudoin; parents, Clovis and Bertha Lopez Delahoussaye; her sisters, Edith Melancon, Rena LeBlanc, Ozite LeBlanc, Lucy Lopez, Mazie Waits; and her brothers, Clodie, Clovis, Jr., Junius, Clodo and Saul Delahoussaye.

We will miss u so much Mom Soon, but i know you had a wonderfully GOOD life, full of love and happiness and family, right down to the end and after too so i can be okay with that. We are the ones who have to go on without your loving smile, optimistic energy, and your sharp mind, (you know just what was going on) so for that I am sad. But everyday I know you are in Heaven, and and that is right where you belong. Finally, Rest in Peace, we love you and miss you always.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us wonderful memories too beautiful to forget. Rest in Peace Aunt Soon! Your smile will be greatly missed....
