You are missed and loved more than you could ever imagine! You are in my heart and mind every single day! It hurts that you are no longer here, but I'm trying so hard to find comfort that you did not suffer for long and that you are in a better place.

Eric, you will be missed. So glad I had a chance to know you. I will cherish our friendship and your fantastic humor. God Bless!

How many attempts were made to take scattered and convoluted RCWs and organize them into new wording and arrangements which made sense? Eric made it happen! So now when we look up a vehicle law, may we always remember Eric's legacy!
Honor to your memory old friend!

I was fortunate to have worked with Eric off and on over the past 12 years. When I first started at DOL I quickly discovered he was a man I could respect and learn from. He never gave me an easy answer, but always led me in a direction so that I would learn and find what I needed on my own.
Eric your kindness, knowledge and friendship will be missed every day.

I have known Eric since I was 9 years old. He was always a dear sweet man with a wonderful sence of humor and a big heart. I will miss the camping, holiday dinners and the Betty Davis tapes. I love you Eric. Tracy Perkins (Rochester WA)

Eric - I am so lucky to have had the pleasure of working with you. You were respected and loved by all those around you.
I'm sure you have met up with your dear family members and some of the characters in the book you were so proud of.
I tear up every time I go out on the plaza and look at the bench where you would sit.
Rest in peace my friend.

Hope Mom, Dad & Sis were there to greet you, so you would not be afraid.. Thanks for all the memories of swimming, camping and family holidays together. There was a lot of laughter that we shared. Tears have come near daily since you left. In fact, tears are flowing as I write this and a tightness in the chest. Guess there's just a lot of love in the Andersen clan that just can not be shut off. It seems like such a short time ago that I walked you to your first grade classroom, so you would be okay and waited outside the bus so you would know it was the right one to take home. Take care little brother. Be at peace. Love you, little brother. See you all in a while.

I had the pleasure of working with Eric at Licensing and then as Legislative staff. What a great person, we always took a few minutes before talking about work and talked about his place at Long Beach and how he loved to spend time there along with other things going on in our lives. Eric's personal traits are the ones that we all strive to achieve in life. People that worked with Eric held him in high esteem due to his integrity, credibility, knowledge and work ethics. On the personal side, a gentle soul, friend, and a special person in life that you had the opportunity to get know and will always remember.

My dear friend Eric, brother you are beyond the pain and the cares of this world, throwing off the mortal shell that we all bear - you have moved on to greater wisdom and a greater peace. A gentle soul, I am so glad and so blessed to have known you, and my life was enriched by your friendship. I will miss you a lot - your sense of humor, your knowledge, your presence. Travel in peace dude. Aloha 'oe A hui hou kakou.

My heart is still broken. Eric was one of my first "friends" at DOL 13 years ago. The sweetest, kindest, gentlest, smartest guy I knew. I may not have had a chance to say goodbye, but I have tons of memories that I will keep close to my heart forever. I just found a map Eric drew for me to one of his favorite camping spots. I look forward to visiting that beautiful place again and remembering all the advice he gave me. I miss you and love you tons, Eric <3

Remembering a kind and gentle young man. I will always remember your coming to our home to play cards and the fun we all had. Mostly I remember the friendship and kindness you showed to my daughter.

You left us far too soon, old friend. I miss you terribly and your loss has left a huge hole in my heart. I am thankful for the many years of warm memories you left me with but I would so much rather have you. I know you are happy and with your family again doing your happy dance. I will always love you.

Eric, our hearts are broken because we have lost you. A bright light in the world has gone dim. The pain we feel is from having loved you so much. We will remember your smile, your silliness, your giving spirit, your love of family and so many things about you, and that will give us strength. We will find comfort knowing you are with God now, as well as with other family members who have gone before you. Rest in peace, dear cousin.
