I first became acquainted with Gordon through my mother, who worked with him in San Antonio, Texas. She thought so much of him that they stayed in touch after she moved back to Ohio. Then, Gordon and I communicated even after my mother's passing. I enjoyed his stories about Amelia and Ryan's great holiday (and the Armistead homecoming) feasts, his fraternity, Bama games, and his dog, Verdie. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Amelia, Ryan and all his other family and loved ones. May God bless you all!
