Ernie and I went to high school together at John McDonogh HS, graduating in 1961. We were in the band together and I remember him as being gregarious, fun loving, an inspiration to people around him. I last saw him at our 50th HS reunion in 2011. I have let his classmates be aware with a posting on our HS website. RIP big guy, my classmates and I remember you fondly.
