I am sorry that I wasn't able to be there at the funeral. She was truly a wonderful person who was generous, caring and funny. She opened up her home to me and made me feel like part of the family. I wil truly miss her.

The Hawkins family would like to send our sympathy to Jim and family. Ernie Lou was very special to her family near and far. Her infectious smile and laughter will always be remembered. Who could forget those family picture events in Cambridge when Ernie Lou was the last family member with a film camera. We treasure those brief visits to Charlotte where we were welcomed with open arms, hugs and kisses. Those memories will not be forgotten.

What a marvelous life she had and what a blessing she has been to her family and friends. I so enjoyed meeting her and seeing how much of her personality exhibited in Sandy as well! I want to offer my condolences to the family for their loss, but I know she will live on in their memories. I will keep you all in my prayers. Sandy, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you here in Louisville. From Faye & Glenn Kugele
