Zeke was born in Fabens, Texas to the late Guillermo and Antonia Salcedo.
In 1969, the family moved to Bakersfield, California where he attended school and later became a Correctional Officer for the State of California which he retired from in October of 2009.
Zeke enjoyed traveling, billiards, fishing, family and friends. He was involved in Kings and Tulare County Pool Leagues as well as the BCA Leagues in both counties. For many years he was one of the top shooters and being on a top shooting team made him happy. His travels included cruises, trips to many cities, states and countries. He enjoyed fishing in all types of waters, sometimes just for the thrill of catch and release. His family always came first from taking care of his wife, Cyndi, daughters Connie and Monica; his grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Zeke made many friends throughout his years and he was very loved, respected, looked up to, strong and honest.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Salcedo and his mother, Antonia Ponce Salcedo.
Zeke leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and best friend, Cynthia of Lindsay, CA; two daughters, Connie Nail and Monica Salcedo Ruiz, both of Hanford; three stepsons, Ernesto Centeno of Visalia, Jesus Barrientos of Lindsay, and Joseph Barrientos of San Jose; 6 grandchildren, Adrian, Ariel, James, Ariana, Hope and Joshua all of Hanford; six brothers, Humberto (Maria) of Baldwin Park, CA, Heriberto, Guillermo, Jr., and Juan (Benita) of Bakersfield, CA Raul of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and Samuel (Tina) of Modesto, CA; two sisters, Elfida Sanchez and Alicia (Eddie) Cordova, all of Bakersfield, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
