Lewis, Esther (Phillips), of Kettering died November 23, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Walker Lewis, Jr.; children of her first marriage, Merrill Kay Jones and Stephen Morrissey; parents, Bessie and Matthew Phillips; brothers and their spouses, Harry (Mary) Phillips, Carl (Martha) Phillips, Troy (Evelyn) Phillips, and Leo (Audrey) Phillips; sisters and their spouses, Mabel (Carl) Burckle, Mary Ellen (Bart) Wolf, Beulah (Mac) DeMoss, Ethel (Gerald) Moore, Olive (Fred) Alexander, and Ruthmae (Bill) Hamilton; brothers-in-law, John Lewis, and Walter (Alice) Lingle. She is survived by her grandson, Jeffrey (Edwina) Jones; great granddaughter, Emily Jones; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lewis; many nieces and nephews; stepsons, Walker (Ellen) Lewis, Hunter (Elizabeth) Lewis, Bram Lewis and several step-grandchildren. Esther was an Executive Secretary and retired from the DAYCO Corporation in 1975. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Dayton Music Club. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Family will receive guests beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will is David's Cemetery.
