Esther Aberle, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at her home in Selah.
Esther was born December 6, 1928 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Zenith and Helen Holtzlander. During the summer of 1945, she met her husband Norman Aberle. They were married April 24, 1949 and spent 59 years together until Norm's death.
Norm and Esther started their family in Michigan with the birth of their first son Larry and later settled in Monroe, WA. They expanded the family with son, Tim and daughter Leah.
Esther worked as an LPN at Valley General Hospital in Monroe until retirement and moved to Selah in 1990.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons Larry and Michael, and grandson Branden. She was survived by her children; Tim (Kay) and Leah Vergosen (Mark), grandchildren; Kyle, Melissa, Mikal, Lyndsey, and Matt, great-grandchildren; Rainey, Autumn, Piper, Lennox and Liam.
Visitation will be held at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the IOOF Cemetery, 21714 Old Owen Rd. Monroe, WA on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. To celebrate the life of Esther and share a memory visit www.keithandkeith.com.

Esther and Norm are a big part of my childhood memories growing up next door to them on Strawberry Lane. They were both wonderful people. My condolences to Tim and Leah and all the rest of the family.

Your Mom held my hand during the birth of my daughter. I think of her every Christmas when I put a small angel on the tree that she gave me at the time of Ketura's birth. She was a wonderful person and great neighbor. She touched many, many lives.
