Ackerly, Ethel F., a longtime resident of Greenwich, CT passed away peacefully on November 22, 2016 with her family by her side. Ethel was born on May 23, 1916, to the late Elsie (Grahman) and Arthur Nixon. She was also predeceased by her loving husband Walter Jud Ackerly Jr., and two brothers. Ethel is survived by her loving sister, Joan Nixon and many nieces and nephews. Ethel worked most of her life as a legal secretary and in her spare time enjoyed dancing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Church, 84 Sherwood Ave., Greenwich, CT 06831 on Thursday December 1, 2016 at 11AM. Interment to follow on Friday December 2, 2016 at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY at 1PM.
