Ethel S. Crick, 95, of Louisville, passed away on August 25, 2014, at Springhurst Nursing Home with her devoted daughter by her side. She was the former Ethel Stovall, and a native of West Point KY. She was a homemaker and loved to care for her African violets, gardenia's and cactus. Ethel was a foster grandparent at Breckinridge Elementary School for 17 years and loved being with the children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland L. Crick and her son Donald Crick, and several siblings. Ethel S. Crick, 95, of Louisville, passed away on August 25, 2014, at Springhurst Nursing Home with her devoted daughter by her side. She was the former Ethel Stovall, and a native of West Point KY. She was a homemaker and loved to care for her African violets, gardenia's and cactus. Ethel was a foster grandparent at Breckinridge Elementary School for 17 years and loved being with the children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland L. Crick and her son Donald Crick, and several siblings.

Left cherishing her memory is her daughter, Dolores (James) Holston Sr.; grandchildren, James Jr. (Christie), Richard (Maureen), and Michael (Eileen) Holston and five great grandchildren.

A Life Celebration will be held for Ethel on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 2 p.m., at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.

A special thanks to Springhurst Nursing Home, aids, Pat and Sara, and Ethel's nurse, Rose, for all of their compassion, care and support during the last several years.
