Etta attended Jewish Hospital & Medical Center of Brooklyn School of Nursing, where she graduated with her RN diploma in 1952. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years.

In 1957, Etta was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Although we will miss her, we rejoice that she remained faithful to her Creator down to her death. Etta believed in the resurrection hope mentioned at John 11:25. She was convinced that Jehovah will reward His faithful servants with everlasting life, and she looked forward to living in paradise.

After raising her family in New York, Etta relocated to Houston, Texas. She is survived by two brothers, one sister, four children, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends, and well-wishers
