AMA'S LOVE

A memory I have in mind

A teardrop fell upon her cheek, when she waved good-by to me, I was grown and went off that day, My Ama could not help but cry.
Just like she did for each one of us, when it was time to say good-by,
Even when we all were down, to visit and have a good time,
And when it came time to say good-by to each and everyone of us, I know it was very hard for AMA to say good-by,
Most of all she gave us her Blessings she always said Valla con Dios y que Dios te quide, Go with God and God watch over you.

She gave me the best care for 21 years, and that was with all her love for each and everyone of her eleven children. For me I had been a (traviesa) a handful. I feel I have grown and had a great home life. The way my AMA smile at me with her clear chocolate eyes, It filled my heart with lots of pride. Than the moving day came. Yet I knew, cause I saw her face get sad and her watery eyes filled. I knew her heart about to break just as mind did too that day. My AMA, God gave her a long happy 90 years of life, of course with heart-breaks and struggles along the way. I know it is because God saw my AMA generously share everything with us as well as with everyone else. And you can include all the relatives and neighbors too. My first ,second, third, and forth cousin and relatives and so on would come to visit and ask AMA for her delicious flour tortillas as well as neighbors who gladly traded their delious biscuits' or glaze donuts for her tortillas it surely made us very happy. She share her love and food. In her world filled so full with working in the fields and house-whole shores and what ever-else she had to do. She gave each one of us her undivided and unselfish attention sometimes even if just for a little precious moment. Ama like to draw simple little animals, rabbits, chicken, were her favorite. And this art was passed on in the family She was a story teller too. She would find the time to get us all in a circle in the living room this was when we were young and as we became older and we had family get together we all found time at the end of the day to reminess with her stories and memories. Sharing with us stories of her childhood and the old days. Mostly of her favorite stories but some of the tough days too. I know that one Day we will be together again. I love you and miss you so much, Love, Rosa Dorado Aceves

I love you mima. I miss you and will always love you and keep your memory alive by always talking about the kindness you showed every one around you. I remember the times when I was sick and your own home remedies that you cured us with. That always did the trick, I always got better after you took care of me. I can remember the times you spent with me making tortillas. No matter how small and so unround the tortilla turned out you never criticized how it came out. I was so proud to make that tortilla. I love you mima. Love your great grandson.

I love you grama forever and ever. I will always remember you and the love you gave to me and my children, Adam and Joseph Michael and my husband Albert. All the times that I needed comfort you knew exactly how to give that to me. I will miss you so much. I will also remember your comfort food that you always had ready not only for me but for every body that visited you. No one knew how to make tortillas like you. There will never be any one like you on this earth. You were an amazing woman. God specially made you for this family and I am so happy and proud to say that you were my Grama. RIP God Bless you Grama. I know exactly where you are and I know that you are happy and you are reunited with those that have gone before you. Especially your grandson Jimmy. We love you always Grama.
