Obituary

Eufrocina Macapinlac Salas lived a very full life and passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2014, at her home in Clermont, Florida. During her transition from life to death her loving family, and friends surrounded her. She was a fierce and brave warrior against her long, hard fought battle against cancer. She did not fight cancer alone, friends and family, a list that stretches to heaven, from all around the world stood and fought by her side. Until her last breathe, she reminded everyone that she would always be a wife, mother and friend but never a cancer victim. Eufrocina was born on February 8, 1950 in Subic,...

Eufrocina was born on February 8, 1950 in Subic, Zambales, Philippines to Angel and Francisca Reyes. She is an older sister to Pilar who is married to Rosendo, has one daughter, Pia Rose, and they currently live in Orlando, Florida. She attended Holy Family Clinic Nursing School and pursued a career in Nursing. For 30+ years, with a true servants heart, she dedicated her life to help others.

Eufrocina expressed her love for her family and friends in so many ways, the most memorable was her “magic” in the kitchen. Family and friends often looked forward to holidays, birthdays, and any occasion that gave them the opportunity to enjoy the many dishes that she masterfully prepared. She possessed an infectious smile, lively sense of humor, and exceptional outlook on life that guided and will continue to guide her family into their future.

Eufrocina was preceded in death by her father, Angel P. Reyes. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Remigio, her 2 sons -Franz Angelo with wife Janet, Christopher with wife Lynda, 5 beautiful grandchildren-Gabriella Grace, Marcus Edward, Carter William, Nolah Jean, Owen Christopher, younger sister- Pilar, who is a wife to Rosendo, and their daughter Pia Rose. She nurtured and deeply loved her family the only way a Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother could – COMPLETELY. She will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18 from 5PM-9PM at Baldwin Fairchild Winter Garden Chapel, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 32787. Funeral service on Tuesday, August 19 at 10 AM at St. James Cathedral, 215 N. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32801. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood St., Orlando, FL 32801.
