Eugene Calvin Cecil, 74, of Fruitland, MD passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Born April 23, 1943 in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Arley H. Cecil and Gladys Shrieves Cecil. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris E. Cecil and one son, Gene R. Cecil and wife Kelly of Salisbury; one sister, Arlene Miller; three brothers, Earl Cecil, Jesse Marshall, and George Marshall. He served the United States proudly in the US Army from 1960-1962. He was an avid shooter with the Tony Tank Rifle Club. He recently retired from Shore Transit where he was a dispatcher for many years. Funeral Services to celebrate Eugene’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21804. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, MD. Rev. Ernie Bailey will officiate.
