Eugene Lewellyn Allen, 80, of Davenport, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Davenport. Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday October 17, 2012 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be 11am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. Eugene was born March 15, 1932 in Canandaigua, New York, the son of Roy and Lillian (Williams) Allen. He married Edith Troy on_ November 17, 1968 in Rochester, NY; she preceded him in death on May 15, 2001 He worked as a laboratory technician for Occidental Chemical Company in Buffalo, IA. Eugene was born March 15, 1932 in Canandaigua, New York, the son of Roy and Lillian (Williams) Allen. He married Edith Troy on_ November 17, 1968 in Rochester, NY; she preceded him in death on May 15, 2001

He worked as a laboratory technician for Occidental Chemical Company in Buffalo, IA.


He was a friend of "hobos" and enjoyed trains. He loved to play dominos and cards. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, and loved spending time with his family.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Steven Allen, Muscatine; Brian Allen, Dubuque, IA two grandchildren; Stephen Allen, Austin Allen both of Muscatine.




His parents, son, Michael wife Edith preceded him in death.
