So very sorry to hear of his passing. He and Margaret were wonderful and cherished friends of my parents, Ben and Edith Trom also of Mesa. They were friends for years, meeting and making friends while living in the same retirement community in Mesa. He was a wonderful man, and I am honored to have known him. Prayers to his family as his strong presence will certainly be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Cavanaughs here in Mesa, while I was a caregiver for Margaret. He took the time to meet my Army sons and share some of his war stories with them. I have wonderful memories and am so saddened by your loss. I have a picture of Gene with my sons.
