Jeep was born August 7, 1925, in Tupelo, Mississippi to Turner and Dorothy Clark. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1942 and entered Mississippi State University where he was secretary of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and cartoonist on the Reveille Staff. He served several years in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946, returning to Mississippi State, graduating in 1948.

Throughout his career he worked for USF&G and F.W. Williams State Agency where he was a partner until he retired. A great lover of the outdoors and nature, Jeep enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting with his close friends. Woodworking was a favorite hobby of Jeep's, where he spent many hours making beautiful boxes and furniture.

Jeep is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara Butler Clark; god-daughter, Kay Garraway French and husband Miller; god-grandsons, Norman Miller French and Thomas Clark French; sisters-in-law, Sadie Butler and Pat Hughley; cousin, Dottie Strain; faithful friend, C'Dell Hendrix; and many nieces and nephews in Monticello.

"May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived." Jo Finch (Madison, MS)
