Thanks Gene for being a great teacher. I knew him through the Math Lab at UAB. He was definitely a character and without question made a positve mark on many people who crossed his path. RIP my friend.

I only knew Mr Wilson as a Math teacher at UAB in the later 80s. He was a truly gifted teacher and prided himself on that fact that his classes regularly outperformed the others on the standard final exams. I was looking him up for advise on becoming a teacher myself when I found this. My condolences to his family.
