Eulis Arvil Farrar, 94, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born May 24, 1920 in Cameron, OK to the late George and Mary Alice Farrar. He was a retired maintenance supervisor with Okla-Homer Smith Furniture Company, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, a 32 degree Mason, and the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tony Farrar; an infant daughter, JoAnn Farrar; and a brother, T.C. Farrar.
He is survived by a daughter, Erma Fischer and husband Dick of the Oak Grove Community; a sister, Doris Henry of Van Buren; and a brother, Bill Farrar and wife Lula of the Oak Grove Community.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with a private family committal to follow, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Erma, I was so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We always enjoyed visiting E.A. & Tony both when we lived in the area. You mom & dad were very special people to us & we will always miss them until that Day we all get to Heaven. That will be such a wonderful day seeing & once more getting to visit those special loved ones we all miss right now.
