DENISON – Eunice Moore, 90, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison, with burial to follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Eunice was born Tuesday, January 8, 1924. She grew up in McAlester, Oklahoma and graduated high school there; graduated from Southeastern State University in Durant with a teaching degree; received her physical therapy degree from Baylor University Hospital; owned and operated her own physical therapy clinic; worked at Scottish Rite Hospital and the Katy Hospital.

She is survived by her neighbor Linda Doyle; family friends Ted Ellis, his daughter Cassie and her daughter Remi; Jodi & Ken Stephenson and their daughter Misty Keith, and Jodi's mother Lola Martin; her closest friends Doris Porter, Glenese Hensarling, Lorene McCord, Bernice Stange and Janet Ross of Denison and caregiver Kimberly Streun of Denison. She was preceded in death by her mother Jessie McCann.

The years she spent at the Scottish Rite Hospital seemed to hold her fondest memories. She loved children. Eunice retired at the age of 83. She was a Christian.

Eunice always said "When you don't have anywhere to go…just go to your knees." She recently suffered a heart attack and was in the hospital. After learning she was not a candidate for surgery, she told the doctor she would "just have to get new knee pads." She truly loved the Lord and felt very blessed to have been able to work in the field of physical therapy.
