Eva Nell Finch passed away on June 20, 2014, at the age of 92. She was born to Charlie and Thekla Mollenhauer in Guadalupe County on February 1, 1922. Eva Nell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband R F Finch, Sr., her brothers Charles "Sonny" Mollenhauer and Otto "Beetles" Mollenhauer, and her sisters Annie Ploetz and Louise Bode.

She is survived by her children Elaine Cooper of El Paso, Eva Nell Kowalski and husband Glenn of Whitefish, Montana, R F Finch, Jr., and wife Sharon of Seguin, and Marilyn Walston and husband Tommy of Johnson City. Eva Nell is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nephews, nieces, and other family members.

Eva Nell lived most of her childhood on the farm. She loved being outdoors and continued raising cattle until her passing. She attended Dowdy School where she played baseball and basketball and was a member of the pep squad. Eva Nell married R F on December 24, 1938. With World War II approaching, R F enlisted in the Army Air Corps and made a career with the Air Force for 30 years. During those military years, Eva Nell, R F, and the family lived in Houston (Ellington AFB), San Antonio (Randolph AFB), Seguin, Bryan, El Paso (Biggs AFB), Boise, Idaho, and back to El Paso. As a military wife during World War II and the Korean War, Eva Nell fully supported R F's military career by taking care of her own family, helping other military wives, volunteering, and participating in many service organizations. For her activities she received numerous accolades, including Chapel Woman of the Year at Biggs AFB and Volunteer of the Year.

After R F retired in 1967, they returned to the family farm near Seguin, where Eva Nell lived until her death. During this time, she took great pride in driving a school bus for Seguin ISD for 17 years. She was passionate about her activities with the Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 245, where she was a member for 35 years and was selected as Sergeant-at-Arms for the for the 14th District and the Department of Texas. Eva Nell and R F loved and supported the Kingsbury United Methodist Church, where Eva Nell served for many years as treasurer, secretary, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. She was a lifetime member of United Methodist Women, the Eastern Star, and the Texas Retired Teachers' Association.

Eva Nell lived a full life and loved all of her family and friends very much. They loved her and will miss her greatly.
