On a beautiful fall afternoon our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Born September 8th, 1916 in Dauphin, Alberta she was the daughter of Thomas and Janet Dixon. Predeceased by husband Leslie Allan (1978). She was the last surviving Dixon sibling having been predeceased by Erma, Bernice, Vernon, Mary, John (Dick), Margaret, George and Grace. Beloved mother of Lorraine Bateman and cherished grandmother of Janet Clayton, Tom Bateman and Carolyn Kidd. Great grandmother of Bryan, Paige, Michael, Stephanie, Robert, Thomas and Madelon. Stepmother of Arlene Allan. She was a beautiful and gracious woman who always put her family first. A Memorial Service to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Banwell Community Church, 2400 Banwell Road, Tecumseh ON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home.
