She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Scootie was born March 10, 1928 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. To all my cousins, my sincere condolences for Evelyn's passing.I know it has been very hard on her these last few years with all the medical procedures and hospital trips. There is some comfort knowing she is done with all that after a very long battle. Thankfully she had a lot of family to help her, and to remember the many good years. I am sorry I was unable to make the funeral. Evelyn & Bill were a special aunt & uncle; they will be missed by all of us.

Linda, I was so sorry to read of your mom's passing. Your mom was one of the kindest and most loving women I have ever met. The memory that sticks in my mind, is from high school when your mom picked up a carful of us high school girls from St. Thomas to take us to Ann Arbor High for our drivers' ed classes. I'm not sure how many weeks she drove, but she was a real trooper. I wouldn't have my driver's license without her!! Much love, Chris Birmingham

To all of the extended Downer family -- our deepest heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Truly a tremendous loss to a very large and wonderful family. We didn't get to see Evelyn and Bill very much after we moved to California, but enjoyed the occasional visits immensely. Evelyn always sent us a great Christmas letter with lots of family news.
With love and sympathy, Chuck & Dorothy Downer, Anaheim, CA.
