Evelyn Watts Mobley passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013. She was the wife to the late Samuel P. Mobley. Evelyn was one of six children born to the late Hubert D Watts and the late Ethel Baker Watts of Rabun County, Georgia. She is survived by one aunt, Adela Baker Cardell Alley of Kennesaw, Georgia. She is survived by one sister, Delilah Watts Pitts of Rabun Gap, Georgia. Evelyn graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Home Economics. Evelyn Watts Mobley passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013. She was the wife to the late Samuel P. Mobley. Evelyn was one of six children born to the late Hubert D Watts and the late Ethel Baker Watts of Rabun County, Georgia. She is survived by one aunt, Adela Baker Cardell Alley of Kennesaw, Georgia. She is survived by one sister, Delilah Watts Pitts of Rabun Gap, Georgia. Evelyn graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Home Economics. Upon graduation, she moved to Walton County, Georgia, to teach school in Loganville. There she met Sam Mobley, who had returned home from service in the European Theatre in World War II. The couple married July 6, 1947. In 1952, they moved to Cobb County where they raised their three children. Evelyn is survived by her children: son, Samuel M. Mobley and his wife, Yvonne Walker Mobley; son, Robert P. Mobley and his wife Bonnie McMurray Mobley; daughter, Karen E. Mobley Harrison and her husband, K. Mark Harrison. Evelyn is survived by grandchildren: Jana Mobley Scoville and her husband, Jeff Scoville; Timothy Mobley and his wife, Brooke; Griffin Harrison and his wife, Beth; Adelitha Harrison Byrnes and her husband, Michael Byrnes; Alera Harrison. Evelyn is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Mason and Adalyn Scoville, William and Jacob Mobley and Aslyn Byrnes. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2:00pm in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
