With profound sadness and heartache, we mourn the loss of our son, brother, and father, Ezra Langston. Born November 28, 1977, Ezra passed away suddenly and un-expectantly on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
Ezra was a proud and loving father of his daughter, Ashley Langston. Ezra loved his family. Ezra loved his dog Bruno with all his heart. And Ezra loved music. He was proud of his band, Alcoholicaust. A musical prodigy, Ezra played music by ear at the age of 9. He trained formerly on piano for 7 years. He grew to be a phenomenal guitar player, drum player, and musical composer. He was a digital master and had an exceptional understanding of computers.
Ezra had extraordinary intelligence using a CNC machine. While he used this talent for his 'day job' in that field for decades, he was most recently combining his skills to create custom staircases, often with exotic woods.
Ezra is survived by his parents, Robert and Charlene Langston, daughter, Ashley Langston, and brother, Darda Langston.
He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Donegan, aunt, Sherri Bishop and husband Brian Bishop, fraternal aunt and uncles; Margaret Langston and husband Bill Marchand, Lee Langston and wife Liz, William Langston, Jason Langston and wife Lacey, Chip Langston and wife Annie Mccoy, aunt Becky Langston, cousins; Abigail Bishop, Kip Langston and wife Lisa, Chaz Langston, Hannah Langston, Melanie Langston, Jason Langston, Aaron Langston, and TK Langston. At peace before Ezra's passing are his grandparents Eevi and Samuel Langston, grandfather Charles Robins, grandfather Charlton Clark and wife Vivienne, uncle (and his father's twin brother) Theodore Langston, and cousin Jonathan Langston.
Services for Ezra will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 am at the Clinton American Legion Hall, 82 West Main Street, Clinton, CT 06413, followed by a reception at the Hall to celebrate Ezra.
A Memorial Benefit (Memorial Benefit Show for Ezra Langston 7.1.17 @ Cherry Street Station, Wallingford, CT) is being arranged in Ezra's memory by friend Joaquin Gouin, with help from Ashley Langston and Darda Langston. (https://www.facebook.com/events/1602895326388990/)
Because of an outpouring from friends requesting what they could do to help, Ezra's daughter, Ashley, has created The Ezra Langston Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses for Ezra at https://www.gofundme.com/3x82h7k
We wish to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and concern already shown, our immediate family for their support and love, and the Clinton Police Department and Emergency Personnel for their prompt response, extreme kindness and professionalism during this difficult time.
RIP dear Ezra. You will be so very much missed and always in our hearts.
