At 97, Fay passed away peacefully in her sleep, Monday, July 14, 2014. She was born May 7, 1917 in New Rockford, North Dakota to Adolph and Mildred Zimmerman.
At the age of 19 she moved to Marysville where she stayed with her aunt and uncle until she met and married Jack Ackerman at the age of 22. They resided in Marysville and Everett, and owned Broadway Beverage and Delicatessen for 10 years, she then moved back to Marysville where she lived out the rest of her life.
She was a member of the Rebecca's Lodge of Marysville, had many friends and loved playing pinochle and cribbage. She was also known for her beautiful signing voice and how she loved to sing and play the piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, younger brother Gene and sister-in-law Margaret, and leaves behind two daughters, Virginia (Jim) Spencer, and Claudia (Jim) Hall; six grandkids, and fourteen beautiful great grandkids.
There will be a memorial service for her on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Noon at the Marysville Cemetery, followed by an open house at 2:00 pm at the home of Jim and Virginia Spencer.

Dear, grandma. I know I could not speak at your service. Here at home is easier. lots of memories at the store and many more. I knew how you knew I loved tomatoes soup so you made it from scratch and I dry heaved lol. You always were a great cook and Sammy sure loved your aspic. I know this is long. I remember whem my parents went on vacation and very first morning you through the covers off,opened drapes and I thought dear god what happened. Everything that has been said were great memories. You are the strongest woman l know. I will miss you so much. I am happy you are in piece, you deserve it. I love you chris.

Virginia, Claudia and families. The loss of a parent is one of the hardest things we have to go through. Our deepest sympathy to you and your families. We remember Fay as a warm and loving person. How wonderful you were able to be together for so many years.
