Obituary of Fernetta Adam
Fernetta Marie Adam passed away peacefully at the Twin Falls Care Center on February 6, 2013. Fernetta Marie( Pleinis )Adam was born February 5, 1931 to John and Anna Pleinis of McLaughlin, South Dakota.
She attended McLaughlin High School and after graduation worked as a clerk at Hatch's Grocery Store until she met her sweetheart, Reinhold Adam. They were married on October 26. 1951, at McLaughlin, SD and moved to Roscoe, SD where Reiny was employed. They moved to Aberdeen, SD for a short time and then moved to Lodi, California where they lived most of their lives. Fernetta was employed with a catering company while living in Lodi. Reiny retired and they moved to Twins Falls, Idaho where she remained until the time of her death. She loved cooking and working with food so all her family and relatives could enjoy the fruits of her labor. Fernetta loved entertaining and always welcomed anyone into her home with a great meal. Her greatest pleasure was having her children and family and friends around her. She was always the caretaker and made everyone feel at "Home", especially her children and grandchildren. When Reiny and Fernetta would come home to South Dakota they made sure that they visited with all her family and friends. She especially enjoyed dancing and listening to the music of her brother's band "The West River Wranglers". Fernetta will be remembered for always having a smile and took the time to visit with everyone she met. She had a heart of gold.
Now she is at home in heaven with her husband Reiny, parents John & Anna Pleinis, twins daughters Cheryl and Carol, daughter Karen, and her brother Myren Pleinis. She will be missed by all of her family and we are glad that now she can rest and be taken care of by her father in heaven.
She is survived by her sons, Virgil of Twin Falls, Stanley of California, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, 7 sisters and 4 brothers.
A celebration of Fernetta's life will be held as a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Rock Creek Veterans Cemetery with Pastor Dale Metzger officiating. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.

I heard of Fernetta's passing shortly after she died, but I just now received the obituary, and even though it's very late, I thought I'd pass on my thoughts and prayers to the rest of our family and Fernetta's friends.
Fernetta was my aunt. Her husband, Reiny, was my Mom's older (but still the youngest of 6) brothers.
We use to see Reiny, Fernetta and the kids more when they lived in SD and CA, than we did when they moved to ID.
As kids, we really liked going to CA to see them...it was close to Disneyland...and Virgil, Karen and Stanley kept us very entertained.
My deepest sympathies for your loss.
God Bless,

Fernetta is my Aunt, Myren was her brother and my Father. We did not get to see her and her family much because they lived in California, then Idaho. We took a trip one summer from South Dakota to CA to visit Fernetta and Reiny - it was one I will never forget. Stanley was the typical long blonde hair California guy, he played base ball and we went to a game and Virgil had the pretty wife Penny at the time and Karen and Bill were just married. Good Times - except my Dad was plauged by gout and was bedridden for most of the 2 week vacation. Fernetta loved us all and I could feel it. Even back then when I was bratty teenager. Love you Fernetta. Randeen Pleinis

We have lost one of our family, to some she was good friend, to some she was a co-worker, to some she was an aunt. to some she was a sister. To Reiny, Fernetta was his wife and to their children, Virgil, Karen and Stanley she was mom.
To me I have lost my Aunt Fernetta, not only have we lost a family member, we have lost the person with the biggest heart I have ever seen, from taking care of me as just a little boy to helping anyone that needed a little help. Fernetta you will be missed by everyone, who you have come in contact with and who's hearts you have touched.
