SALERNO, Filomena Eleanore, age 93 of Beavercreek, passed away on Tuesday December 25, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Michael Salerno Sr.; parents, Vincent and Maria Giordano; brother, Louis Giordano and grandson, Jeremy William Salerno. She is survived by her children; Louis M. (Claire) Salerno Jr., Vincent J. (Diane) Salerno, Rosemary (Mario) Truglio, Peter C. SALERNO, Filomena Eleanore, age 93 of Beavercreek, passed away on Tuesday December 25, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Michael Salerno Sr.; parents, Vincent and Maria Giordano; brother, Louis Giordano and grandson, Jeremy William Salerno. She is survived by her children; Louis M. (Claire) Salerno Jr., Vincent J. (Diane) Salerno, Rosemary (Mario) Truglio, Peter C. (Donna) Salerno; grandchildren, Lynore (David) Sarber, Jessica (Todd) Salerno-Petitt, Caryn (Josiah) Ward, Valerie (John) Higgins, Brian (Maureen) Salerno, Michael (Kathy) Salerno, Mark Salerno, Dr. Maria Truglio, Dr. Donna (Dillon) Haverty-Stack, Joseph (Emma) Truglio M.D., Peter (Jen) Salerno Jr. , Fiona (Kevin) McCormick and Jason Salerno, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rita Esposito, Marian Giordano and numerous other relatives and friends. Filomena worked as a secretary. She was also a secretary for for St Brigid's Parents Club in Westbury, NY and volunteered for Chaminade High School Parents club, Mineola, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. with Fr. Terry Schneider celebrant. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
