THIS SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE GEARHART FUNERAL HOME IN COON RAPIDS
Adams, Firman E.
Age 84 of Champlin, unexpectedly passed away March 11, 2012 after 61 years of a loving and devoted marriage. Preceded in death by mother, Clara Siverhus, brothers, LeVern Adams, Robert Adams, sister, LeRayne Deforge and grandson, Charles Firman Adams. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Boxer. A true craftsman and home builder, he used his loving hands to sculpt wood, creating works of art, though we will remember him most for the remarkable legacy he constructed. He built a wonderful life and loving family with his unconditional love, deep compassion and a never-ending commitment to his loved ones. He was always a prankster; our memories are etched with laughter. He shaped characters with integrity and crafted beautiful hearts-that are now broken-but continue to beat strong. His life was a testimony and extraordinary example to friends and those who knew him. Survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; sister, Phyllis Cacoulidis; daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Freeburg; sons, Craig (Lorrie) Adams, Curt (Katie) Adams, Chuck (Tammy Lannoye) Adams, Chris (Barb) Adams, Chip (Linda) Adams; twenty three grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. We are proud to call him Dad & Grandpa, and we thank him for being an inspiration to many as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. We will forever love and miss him. Visitation Saturday 1pm-3pm, followed by memorial service at 3pm at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids.
